I am not a food snob and this is my first ever Yelp review, but somebody needs to tell the truth about Banjo's and I guess it will have to be me.
We usually go here once or twice every two weeks. They have really good barbecue. The rub they put on the meat is really good. Stop by for a quick bite. It’s really good.
Delicious food. Quick and polite service. Great entertainment. Cozy, friendly and clean. Only negative is poor parking options.
I've eaten a lot of barbecue in my day including great Texas barbecue, but this little place is my new favorite. The brisket is the best especially when you combine it with their hot apple butter sauce!!
Extremely flavorful and tender ribs! Our favorite place to go! Really enjoy talking with the owner! A must try...you will return!!!
Over Christmas and other family gatherings Banjo's Yelp reputation became a family joke. We now all laugh heartily when we retell our Banjo experience at family meals, so at least some good has come from a terrible culinary experience.
My family rented a house on Watts Bar last fall. Banjo's had excellent reviews so we made dinner plans. Because this restaurant is not open every day, we spent a couple of days anticipating a great meal. Boy, were we disappointed. The flavor of the ribs and pork was utterly overwhelmed by excessive smoke and a nasty off-taste which suggested they used old creosote treated railroad ties when they fired up their bbq pit. Banjo's side dishes were fine but we had to throw the meat away because no one wanted to eat it.
