Nice, small town restaurant. I got the gingerbread oatmeal with eggnog French toast. The oatmeal was not sweet. Small chunks of cinnamon. French toast sticks didn't have a strong eggnog taste. The campers skillet special was very good. The meat was a little tough, the eggs were perfect and the salsa was fresh and great! Would come back again when in the area.
Very solid food (had biscuits & gravy, bacon, eggs and hash browns) with fantastic service in a clean environment. Definitely not your typical "greasy spoon" small town diner. I have heard very good things about this place and they didn't disappoint.
California transplants trying to do country cooking. Most of the food is delicious. Some items e.g. biscuits and gravy is funky. They are typically crowded and it can get noisey. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Service, or lack of, is hit and miss, depending on how busy they are. They are located across from the tracks and Ace hardware in downtown Spring City.
This place is a hidden JEWEL... food is great. Place is clean. We always go there when we are in the area. .. I told our waitress that we had stopped at a Cracker Barrel in Macon Ga. The day before and ate breakfast and my hubby told the CB cashier when she asked how everything was " that it was like having your eyeballs scratched with a stick" ...horrible.. we couldn't wait to get great breakfast at Scrambled Cafe.
Great local spot. You can eat breakfast foods all day there which is great for my kids who love their pancakes! Such great food and awesome service and the sweetest people ever!
